We no longer allow direct registration with this blog to comment, so if you previously used the "Movable Type" option to login, we need you now to use OpenID.  One neat thing about OpenID is that you likely already have an account!  If you have questions about getting signed up, use our Registration Page to find us.

I'm sure not I understand this decision. I hope it works out.

Logging in to comment is better, Anne, because it helps establish identity. When people own their words and own up to their deeds, the conversations can become much better because everything is out in the open.

This makes sense to me. Why say something if you won't back it up?

That's the idea, Janna. Say it. Mean it. Own it. Lots of people on the web still won't do that, though.
